The Department of Electrical Engineering offers a four-year program leading to the
Bachelor of Science.
This program is
designed to help satisfy the engineering manpower needs of industry
in Arkansas and the mid-south region. The objectives of the program
are to produce graduates with a professional attitude and approach
to problem solving, well educated in the basics of engineering. The
required courses provide a basic foundation in engineering with a
strong cross-disciplinary component and emphasis on engineering
design. |

DEGREES APPROVED! The Arkansas Department of Higher Education
Coordinating Board has approved the new separate M.E. (Mechanical
Engineering) and E.E. (Electrical Engineering) degrees. Tech has
offered a bachelor of science degree in engineering degree since 1970.
The program has been nationally accredited by the Accreditation Board for
Engineering and Technology (ABET) since 1988.

The Tech
Electrical Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission
of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and
Technology. The Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and Council on Postsecondary
Accreditation as the sole agency responsible for accreditation of educational
programs leading to degrees in engineering.
